Lamborghini Murcielago - Special Edition for Lamborghini's Anniversary

The Lamborghini Murcielago is an automobile made by Lamborghini and designed by Luc Donckerwolke. It was introduced in 2002 as the successor to Lamborghini Diablo. The body style is a two door, two seat coupe. An open-top version called the Murcielago roadster was introduced in 2004 for the 2005 model year. The roadster features similar performance to the coupe with a more aggressive rear flank, as well as a considerably higher price tag.

The Murcielago was the one model honored to represent one of the Lamborghini's features dedicated to the celebration of 40th Anniversary. In 2003 in the context of celebrating Lamborghini's 40th Anniversary was launched a special Murcielago 40th Anniversary Edition in limited amount of 50 numbered cars that were sold predominantly in Europe, the United States and Japan. All of the fifty Limited Edition 40th Anniversary Murcielago were sold at approximately EURO 15,000 more than the production version of the Murcielago whose current price at that moment was EURO 193,000. Each model was accompanied by a special personalised certificate and equipped with the exclusive signed carbon fibre suitcase in the luggage compartment.
